Who me?

So the haze is back. Right, it's the all farmers' fault we're getting choked every other day and our nostrils are tingling with the chared smell of their livelihood.
They should do something, we say.

Sure. They should. They gotta be educated about the "cleaner" way in clearing their land.

But what about us?
What are we doing that is NOT killing the Earth?
How many times are we too lazy to put aside paper and bottles for recycling and chucked them into the dustbin instead. Why? Too troublesome, too lazy.

Are we also doing something that could negatively affect the environment and as a result, other coutnries in the region? It may be that it doesn't blanket the skyline in a smog, nor irritate your nose.

Who are we to judge, anyway?

We are doing what everyone else is doing: contributing to our slow silent death.

At least it's more comfortable to die a slow and almost painless death than to live in agony with a choking throat and smelly air.

We all need to be educated. That's why the big brother wants to tell us "An Inconcenient Truth".

i guess it's cos we are all 'short-sighted' so that's why we have a myopic view of everything we do, not taking into consideration the long-term consequences...
